DEFORMITY officially welcomes Luis Ortiz - LCII as its new drummer. The announcement marks a decisive moment for the Costa Rican death metal band: a new engine behind the kit as the group prepares its seventh title and tenth release.

A new chapter behind the kit

Luis Ortiz - LCII steps in during a period of renewed momentum. His arrival resets the rhythm section and gives the band a stable foundation for the material currently in development. The lineup is now locked and focused on the next recording cycle.

The change is immediate and intentional. With Luis Ortiz - LCII on drums, DEFORMITY moves forward as a four-piece unit: Charlie Noise and Christian Carmona on guitars and vocals, Blop Demolition on bass, and Luis Ortiz - LCII driving the percussion.

“We are not into social networks, we're into live action. Forever underground. Luis Ortiz - LCII is part of that now.”

Studio and stage

The new lineup is already active in the studio. Recording sessions for the next full-length are underway, with a targeted release window in 2027. The album will become DEFORMITY's seventh distinct title and tenth overall release.

Live plans follow the same trajectory. Asia, Ecuador, Mexico and Europe are scheduled across 2026 and 2027, with additional routing to be confirmed. Luis Ortiz - LCII's integration into the band is timed to carry that momentum from the rehearsal room to the stage.
